Dons completed the signing of Canadian international Ali this summer after the powerful striker completed a successful trial period with the Club.
Having started his career with Montreal in 2000, Ali was the first Canadian player drafted in the 2001 MLS Draft Pick and joined Miami Fusion. Following a stay with Pittsburgh he returned to Canada and had two spells each with Toronto and Montreal before moving to Swedish outfit GIF Sundsvall in 2005.
He joined IFK a year later, where he also enjoyed loans with Norwegian side Odd Greenland and Denmark's AC Horsens.
Ali spent last season with German second division side FC Ingolstadt, where he scored three goals in 11 appearances before arriving in England on trial with the Dons.
Since making his international debut against Honduras in July 2005, Ali has won 18 caps for his country, scoring nine goals, and played in two CONCACAF Gold Cups.
