FULL-TIME: MK DONS 3 YEOVIL TOWN 0
Highly impressive performance from MK Dons as they return to winning ways at something of a canter.
Peter Leven will take much of the plaudits for his double while Sam Baldock also registered a third of the season, but there were many standout performances.
Leven opened the scoring with an opportunist finish on 20 minutes, smashing home the rebound after Aaron Wilbraham's header had been saved by Yeovil 'keeper Asmir Begovic.
It could have got better when Wilbraham smacked the crossbar shortly before half-time but Dons fans didn't have to wait long for a second, Baldock racing onto Wilbraham's flick before firing low past Begovic.
Leven put the icing on the cake with a brilliant third, slamming home substitute Florian Sturm's cutback to cap a fine team move.
90+1mins - A minute into the three added and Yeovil are still looking to salvage some pride. The Dons look strong in defence though and nothing looks likely to pass them this afternoon.
90mins - Lewington delights the Cowshed with a bombarding run from deep and then, after being dispossessed, chases Yeovil defenders right back to their own goalkeeper, who clears downfield.
89mins - Much better from Sturm on the left as he runs onto Wilbraham's ball down the line, drops a shoulder to get past Peltier and chips a lovely ball towards the near post but it's just too high for Wilbraham to convert it.
87mins - A little wasteful from Sturm after Navarro had picked him out with a lobbed pass to the left. The Austrian tries an ambitious angled half-volley that flies into the Cowshed.
84mins - Baldock has given Forbes nightmares this afternoon and Leven has taken every opportunity to exploit his discomfort, pinging the ball over his head for Baldock to run onto. The Yeovil defender again clears hurriedly away.
82mins - Belson is replaced by Alan Navarro, who gets a terrific reception from the Dons supporters.
81mins - Oh Wright should have made it four there. Baldock again escapes down the right but has his head up as he looks for a cross. He picks out Wright in the middle but he sidefoots his shot well over the bar from 12 yards.
80mins - Yeovil were not happy about a challenge on McCollin by Regan in the build-up to that goal. It'll be interesting to see if Russell Slade cites that incident later.
77mins - GOAL! MK DONS 3 YEOVIL TOWN 0 - PETER LEVEN
Dons put the game beyond doubt with a fine third and Leven's second of the afternoon. Baldock starts the move from wide on the right, feeding Wilbraham in a central position before the ball is flicked into Leven and then wide to Sturm on the left. The Austrian has time to pick out a cross and he returns the ball to Leven, who sidefoots powerfully past Begovic from 11 yards. Fantastic team goal and Leven races to celebrate with the Cowshed.
75mins - Final change for Yeovil as Welsh comes off to be replaced by James Dayton.
73mins - Belson looks like he might be tiring a little, he's worked extremely hard and has every right to be a little leggy. Yeovil popping the ball around the Dons half, eventually finding Murtagh down the right who crosses deep to the far post. Skiverton arrives and should do better but heads the ball into the side netting.
72mins - It's Warne's final action as he is replaced by Andre McCollin.
71mins - Paul Warne is being spoken to by referee Darren Drysdale. The Yeovil striker didn't get the free-kick off O'Hanlon he wanted a minute or so ago and must have voiced his displeasure a little too loudly.
70mins - 7,959 is the confirmed matchday attendance.
68mins - Yeovil holding onto the ball well in the Dons half with the home side chasing a little for a moment. Murtagh is at the heart of it with Roberts also regularly involved but they've yet to find a final pass.
67mins - Johnson comes off to be replaced by Sturm. Schofield's just been booked for tripping Lewington just inside the Dons half.
65mins - Johnson moves in again from the right and hits a left-footed shot from the edge of the box that Begovic does well to hold on to.
64mins - Dons are preparing a change of their own with Florian Sturm being prepared. Wilbraham's poor pass sees a breakaway lose momentum but the big striker tackles back superbly.
62mins - Yeovil make the first change with Bircham being replaced by Gavin Tomlin.
61mins - Two superbly worked free-kicks from the Dons within a few seconds. First Leven tries a quick flick over the wall to find Wilbraham but is stopped with the referee wanting them to wait for the whistle. Belson looks favourite to blast the re-taken effort but instead Wilbraham backheels to Leven whose 25-yard drive is beaten away by Begovic.
59mins - Baldock and Wilbraham on the same wavelength again as the big man wins Gueret's long ball downfield and his strike partner is alive in the box. He tries a left-footed shot across goal but it's well blocked by Forbes.
56mins - Dons are well in the ascendency now as Wilbraham flicks the ball into the path of Johnson and his powerful shot from the right edge of the box is blocked well by Skiverton. Important the Dons don't let this lead slip now. Yeovil need to be put to bed and they won't be lying down.
53mins - GOAL! MK DONS 2 YEOVIL TOWN 0 - SAM BALDOCK
Sam Baldock celebrates the signing of his new contract with his third goal of the season and his first in front of the Cowshed. Wilbraham wins a long ball forward in the air and Baldock spins superbly to get away from Forbes and onto it. Racing into the box with Johnson in support to his right, the young striker hammers a low, left-foot shot that Begovic gets something on but it bounces off the inside of the near post and into the net.
50mins - Regan hits Baldock feet with a throw and gets the ball back down the right. He tries to deliver a cross which hits Bircham flush in the face and the Yeovil midfielder visably grimaces to the amusement of those on this side of the ground. Keeping his sense of humour in the heat of the battle.
48mins - No changes for either side at the break though Leven has emerged sporting some strapping on his left hand. He may have been accidentally stamped on in that previous challenge. Murtagh charges into the Dons box onto Welsh's header down from the right and pokes a shot just wide of the far post. Decent chance for Yeovil but it's gone begging.
4.05pm - SECOND HALF KICKS OFF
HALF-TIME: MK DONS 1 YEOVIL TOWN 0
Dons lead at the break thanks to an opportunist piece of finishing by Peter Leven and they've been worth their advantage.
Predictably, the home side have made most of the running, Mark Wright a particular proving a thorn in Yeovil's side.
Wright himself came within a whisker of a seventh-minute opener, curling agonisinly wide from the edge of the box before playing a major part in the goal.
Wright's inswinging delivery from the left was met by Aaron Wilbraham and, though his header was saved by Asmir Begovic, Leven was arriving to smash home the rebound.
Wilbraham nearly made it two with a 25-yard piledriver that smacked the face of the Yeovil crossbar as the home side took control of the game.
The Glovers' best effort was a cracker - Gary Roberts' curler from the left corner of the box beating Willy Gueret and clipping the junction between post and bar.
45+1mins - Leven's corner just clears O'Hanlon at the far post but Wright retrieves it on the left, winning a free-kick after getting round Peltier. Wright himself takes it and O'Hanlon is again denied by a stooping header from a Yeovil defender.
45mins - Belson feeds Johnson on the right who gets his first chance to really open his legs. Running over halfway and towards the final third, he slides a clever ball into the box for Wilbraham, who wins a corner off Skiverton on the right.
43mins - Belson is picking up on more and more loose balls in the middle of the park, this time feeding Wright on the left whose deep cross is headed behind by Jones for a corner. Comes to nothing.
41mins - Welsh gets the short corner back from the right before whipping into the six yard box. Gueret comes to punch clear and nearly takes Wilbraham's head with him. The big striker gets checked over and looks ok.
40mins - Murtagh brings Yeovil forward, sending Warne away down the right before getting the return 30 yards out. He pushes on to the edge of the area where his shot is blocked for a corner by Lewington.
38mins - Wilbraham smacks the crossbar with what would have been a fantastic goal. Belson wins possession superbly on halfway to set Baldock away through the centre but his way is blocked by Forbes. Wright seizes on the loose ball, feeding Baldock again inside the area, this time the way is blocked by Skiverton. It breaks to Wilbraham 25 yards out, who hits a sweet right-footed shot towards the top corner but it thuds off the woodwork with Begovic stranded.
34mins - Great play from Wright who first loses the ball to Murtagh on halfway then battles to win it back. He runs into Yeovil territory shrugging off both Roberts and Bircham before eventually being stopped 20 yards from goal by the sliding Skiverton.
32mins - Terrific effort from Roberts clips the top of the crossbar. Running into apparent safety down the Yeovil left, the midfielder suddenly shifts inside curling a wonderful right-footed shot towards the far post. Gueret turns in hope, rooted to the spot, and the ball bounces off the woodwork and over.
30mins - Surprising given that they're playing on opposite sides of the pitch, but Yeovil's best avenue of attack looks to be Welsh and Schofield. Welsh gets half a yard inside on Leven to deliver and inswinging cross from left which Schofield reaches beyond the far post, but can only keep it in play and Gueret gathers.
27mins - Dons look like they're just trying to consolidate the lead, working hard without the ball and quick to close down men in black. Baldock is running his socks off in attack, closing down Skiverton to the delight of the Cowshed.
24mins - Wright's been a real handful for Yeovil early-on and it was a delightlul cross from which the goal came about. Yeovil were very deep to defend it but the home side did well to get plenty forward.
23mins - That's exactly what the home side needed. The Dons fans are up and singing having started to work up a head of steam before the goal. They're in the driving seat and if the home side can really seize the advantage here they could strap on the seatbelt.
20mins - GOAL! MK DONS 1 YEOVIL TOWN 0 - PETER LEVEN
Dons take the leads with Leven's second goal of the season - a classic late arrival in the box from a midfield player. Having just seen a shot well saved by Begovic in the Yeovil goal, Baldock escapes down the inside left channel before turning, holding the ball up in search of support. He feeds Wright behind him, whose curling cross from the left is headed goalwards by Wilbraham at the far post. Begovic pushes the ball away but Leven arrives to slam in the rebound.
19mins - Leven walks off the pitch with head physio Simon Crampton straight to club doctor Martin Cave. They seem to be looking at Leven's hand or perhaps his finger. He's ready to come back on though.
16mins - Buccaneering run from Belson through midfield as he seizes strongly onto a loose ball and shrugs off Roberts on his way into Yeovil territory. He slides in to beat Jones to the ball on the right corner of the penalty area but the ball doesn't break for him. Leven flies into a challenge to regain the loose ball but is left hurt and in need of treatment.
14mins - Johnson gets his first run infield off the right flank and looks to slide a clever ball into the box for Wilbraham but it's cut out by Terrell Forbes on the edge.
13mins - Yeovil look to that Welsh-Schofield combination again with Welsh crossing from the left towards the edge of the box and Schofield stretching ahead of Lewington to stab the ball goalwards. There's no pace on it though and Gueret collects.
11mins - Welsh gets away from Regan down the Yeovil left and teases a cross towards Schofield at the far post. Lewington climbs to flick the ball away with his head eight yards from his own goal. Neither side has found much rhythm just yet.
7mins - Wright within a whisker of opening the scoring after a lovely move. Wright's ball into Baldock from the left is stepped over the Dons youngster, allowing it to run on to Wilbraham down the left. His low cross is just beyond Baldock but breaks to Wright on the edge of the box and his curling shot shaves the outside of the right post.
6mins - It's not been a bad start from the visitors with Schofield happy to move infield off the right flank and picking the ball up in some good positions. They'll have to get support forward to Warne though, who is being crowded out by the Dons defence.
5mins - Dons have actually started with Mark Wright on the left flank and Johnson out on the right. They're most likely to swap frequently throughout the game. Both sides battling for territory at the moment with no real openings of note.
2mins - Warne holds the ball up well for Yeovil on the right touchline with Stirling at his back and plays a nice one-two with Murtagh, but spins away into an offside position and is flagged near the touchline.
3.00pm - KICK OFF
2.59pm - The teams emerge from the tunnel, the Dons in their familiar all-white strip and Yeovil in all black with green trim. First glance around stadiummk suggests around 7,000 this afternoon. Dons will defend the Cowshed in the first half, Yeovil will kick-off.
2.55pm - TEAM NEWS - One change for the Dons from last week's defeat and it comes on the left of midfield - Jemal Johnson replacing Shaun Cummings. They line up in a 4-5-1 formation as follows: Asmir Begovic; Lee Peltier, Terrell Forbes, Terry Skiverton (c), Nathan Jones; Danny Schofield, Mark Bircham, Gary Roberts, Kieran Murtagh, Andy Welsh; Paul Warne.
Subs: Gavin Tomlin, Craig Alcock, Andre McCollin, Aaron Brown, James Dayton.
2.50pm - Welcome to stadiummk where, believe it or not, the sun is shining. With horrendous weather forecasted, we'll wait to see whether that holds. Dons host Yeovil this afternoon as they look to get back to winning ways after losing 2-1 here to Swindon last week.
We're expecting around 500 fans from Yeovil this afternoon, a superb turnout given their team's seemingly endless list of long away journeys. The Glovers have been to Middlesbrough and Carlisle in recent weeks and face the Dons today on the back of their first league defeat of the season against the latter. They're the underdogs today, but many have proven that the "stadiummk factor" can make all the difference for a visiting team.
The action kicks off at 3.00pm.
