Dons manager Roberto Di Matteo said the excellent performance in the 3-0 win over Yeovil was exactly the response he was looking for from his team.

The Dons bounced back from defeat to Swindon last Saturday with a stellar performance against the Glovers - Peter Leven's double and a Sam Baldock strike seeing off Russell Slade's men.

Before the game, Di Matteo had called on his players to be more clinical in front of goal and to cut out the defensive mistakes that had cost them so dear.

And that's precisely what he got as his side picked up a clean sheet, three goals and three points.

He said: "I was looking for a big reaction from the team after the defeat last week, which I didn't think we deserved, and we got that.

"We put Yeovil under pressure from the start and it worked very well for us today.

"We told the players at half-time to be more clinical in front of the goal because we always create so many chances and you have to take them otherwise you might get punished.

"It's always good to have a clean sheet and it was a great performance from the whole team. The mood is very good but we're not going to get carried away.

"This is what we've been looking for - cutting out the mistakes and taking our chances.

"We were looking for an early goal, that's why we pressured them from the kick-off and the game plan worked today."
